Here's an article on De Rust – Historical Past & Innovative Future which appears in the Prince Albert Friend, September 2020

De Rust Kreatief Collectif was started by a group of local artists, musicians, crafters and performing arts enthusiasts. The need for a place to get together, have exhibitions, workshops, shows, etc. arose after a very successful exhibition and other events in 2019. When a venue became available early in 2020 members formed a co-op, contributing monthly towards the expenses.

The centre, now known as the ArtBeat Centre, became the home of Kreatief Collectif. We had a very successful opening in March, but shortly afterwards the lockdown was implemented and we had to close our doors. Undeterred, Kreatief Collectif decided to reopen the centre on Wednesday 24 June. Given lockdown regulations, there won’t be a grand opening for now, but we’re planning an exhibition and more for later in the year, when lockdown permits.

De Rust in Country Life Magazine

There was an article about De Rust in the September, 2019 edition of Country Life.

Sadly the magazine folded during 2020 but back issues can still be found in guesthouses and second-hand bookstalls, so keep your eyes peeled!
